11 NOVEMBER 2020

It’s a very swift return to Buriram’s Chang International Circuit for the second and final event of Thailand Super Series 2020 for B-Quik Absolute Racing. Two races just gone and now two more coming up to decide the destinations of this year’s Super Car GT3 titles.

Once again, we will have Henk Kiks and Philip Massoud sharing the No 26 Audi R8 LMS GT3 with Sandy Stuvik and Daniel Bilski driving in the similar No 1 entry. Both crews are looking for big weekends and a tally of points to make a serious tilt at the titles.

Last time out here for the opening round – just a week and a half ago – we enjoyed double podiums for both cars in both Super Car GT3 races, this time we are looking for a lot more of the same – but to improve and go one step better.

It’s clearly been a challenging season due to the Covid-19 pandemic in terms of adjusting our technical staffing roster while our race engineers are working remotely as well of course as the getting to grips with a new tyre brand, so the first weekend of racing action was all about learning and we look forward to building further on those solid performances this time out.

Saturday 14 Nov:

Qualifying: 1105-1145

Race 2: 1640-1740

Sunday 15 Nov:

Race 2 1630-1730

B-Quik Absolute Racing is supported by B-Quik, Mobil 1, Bendix, Yuasa, NGK and WAC Car Detailing.

Henk Kiks (No 26 B-Quik Absolute Racing Audi R8 LMS GT3): “I’m looking forward to this weekend and bouncing off what was a very promising start to the season a fortnight ago here. Philip has settled in really quickly and is getting on pace so I’m very happy with how we are progressing. We have a lot more still to learn, this year is clearly very different to past seasons, we have new engineering scenarios, new tyres, but clearly we are confident that we have more speed to extract from the package, the potential is there and we aim to push on hard this weekend.”

Philip Massoud (No 26 B-Quik Absolute Racing Audi R8 LMS GT3): “I am excited for Round 3 and 4 – our goal remains the same to be the winner in the class. B-Quik Absolute Racing has provided a very competitive race car with excellent remote engineering support. This, in combination with my experienced co-driver Henk Kiks, makes me confident that we will be a force to be reckoned with.”

Sandy Stuvik (No 1 B-Quik Absolute Racing Audi R8 LMS GT3): “I'm eager to get Rounds 3 and 4 started. We've learnt a lot about the Hankook tyre and I'm confident we can make more steps in our set-up. B-Quik Absolute Racing has done a phenomenal job making sure the car is perfect in every way. With our engineers working remotely, we found a decent way to communicate effectively and efficiently. We'll be doing our best for the final two races of this season, it seems like it was such a long wait for a very short time of fun, so I will make sure to savour every moment!”

Daniel Bilski (No 1 B-Quik Absolute Racing Audi R8 LMS GT3): “After a mixed Round 1 & 2, I’m extremely keen to get back to Buriram for Rounds 3 & 4. The team did an excellent job giving us a good car last week, and we learned a lot with the new tyres and working remotely with our engineer, Duarte. It’s going to be a big week coming up. I’m eagerly looking forward to seeing everyone at B-Quik Absolute Racing, and together, gunning for that top step on the podium.”
